Tom Selleck

Tom SelleckAmerican actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was playing private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) and for which the actor was nominated five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in Drama Series. He won the award in 1985. Since 2010 Selleck has been co-starring as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine television series inspired by the Robert B. Parker novels in which he portrayed Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chiefwho began his career in 2005. Selleck also starred in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). Since Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been in more than 50 roles on television and film, including films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. He was a regular on television in roles as Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and also as Lance White, the likeable and unassuming partner on The Rockford Files, and as the casino's owner A.J.
