Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14 years old. Along with BJJ She also took classes in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. At age 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd continued to build on her triumph at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta 16 saw her go up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and then ended the fight with a third-round TKO(elbows or punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd did not reach her weight, but Aspen dominated Hoy and finished her in the second round by KO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina through her ground and pound techniques and earned a TKO second-round victory. She continued her dominance and racked up an impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the opening round. She also received the bonus for performance of night. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she's ever had in any significant role. Both the fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters receiving the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her winning streak. In the third round of UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a recent match replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
